As a % of debt to GDP, only in wary years has the % exceeded 10% ... until 2020 with the COVID-19 virus and economic shut-down. What a year 2020 has been. And, in 55 years, the US has incurred deficit spending in 51 of those years, thus only 4 years of surplus. Normally, this spells disaster. Will it lead to a financial crisis for the US?
